7 Best Jamku Alternatives for CA Firms (2026)
Short answer: There is no single best Jamku alternative; it depends on what you want to change. MyPract, a global, AI-native platform, is the best fit for Indian CA firms that want billing from approved time, an AI assistant across every module and a 3-month card-free trial. ERPCA is better for attendance, payroll and Tally, Zoho Practice for firms whose clients use Zoho Books, CCH iFirm for larger firms that want capacity planning, and TaxDome for firms serving US, UK or Australian clients. Stay with Jamku if Income Tax, GST and TRACES portal sync or UDIN tracking is central to your work.

Jamku, from Madrecha Solutions, is one of the most widely used office management tools among Indian CA, CS and tax firms. It publishes rupee prices, has Android, iOS and desktop apps, and its separate Jamku Portal product syncs notices and returns from the Income Tax, GST and TRACES portals.[1][2] Plenty of firms are happy with it. This list is for firms that have a specific reason to look elsewhere, and it ranks each option by what it does best rather than naming one winner.

Start your free trialWhy do firms look for alternatives to Jamku?
Jamku does a lot well, and its users often praise its compliance dashboard and support.[1] Firms that start looking usually have one of these narrower reasons:
- Billing control. Firms that bill on effort want hours approved by a manager, locked once a period closes, and turned straight into invoices.
- Onboarding cost as the team grows. Jamku's pricing page says consulting is mandatory for larger teams and charged over and above the licence, with packages from ₹15,000.[1]
- Add-ons. Attendance, file storage and chat are priced separately, and Jamku Portal is a separate product priced by module.[1][2]
- A different centre of gravity. Some firms want the software built around their clients' ledger (Zoho Books), their payroll and attendance, or their overseas clients.
- Interface preference. Views on Jamku's interface differ; this is a matter of taste, so try alternatives with your own team.
None of these makes Jamku a poor choice. They are reasons a particular firm might fit better elsewhere.
1. MyPract: best for Indian firms that bill from approved time
MyPract is a global, AI-native practice management platform for accounting, audit, tax and advisory teams, from a solo practitioner to firms of more than 30 people, built for cross-border teams and clients. It bills Indian firms in rupees and is built around engagements: each has a client, manager, budget hours and fee, with tasks, subtasks and dependencies inside it. Staff log time by timer or timesheet; managers approve it and lock past periods; invoices are raised from approved, billable time in each client's currency. An AI assistant answers from every module and acts only after you confirm; Claude and ChatGPT can be connected as agents through MCP, bound by the same roles as people. See the full list on our features page.
- Price: ₹12,000/year for the first 5 users, then ₹4,800 per user for users 6–30 and ₹4,000 per user for users 31+, with no setup fee. There is one plan, and every user gets every module. It costs more than Jamku at every team size at list price. See pricing.
- Trial: 3 months, opt-in, no card, never converts to a paid plan automatically.
- India-specific extras: a DSC register (custody, expiry status, signatory-to-client mapping, usage log) and read-only GST portal data (filing status, notices to tasks, ledgers, GSTR-2B reconciliation).
- Data domicile by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own instance in its country, so its database, files and server functions stay in-country. Today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase, so an Indian firm's data is in India.
- Client portal: one link per engagement, opened with an emailed 6-digit code; portal clients are not charged.
Where Jamku is still better: a lower price for teams of 6 or more, plus Income Tax and TRACES sync, UDIN tracking, native apps and attendance, none of which MyPract has.
2. ERPCA: best for attendance, payroll and Tally
ERPCA from Woodapple Software Solutions says more than 2,500 firms use it.[4] It is strongest on the back office: selfie and GPS attendance with geofencing, leave and payroll, a Tally integration, GST e-invoicing, Razorpay and PayPal collection, and a DSC register with expiry alerts and consent forms.[3][4] It has Android and iOS apps.
Its SaaS plan costs ₹250 per user a month, billed annually with a minimum of 5 users (₹15,000 a year), which is more per head than Jamku's Growing tier. ERPCA replaced its Run, Grow and Scale packages with this per-user pricing in October 2026; existing customers keep their rate.[3]

3. Zoho Practice: best for firms whose clients use Zoho Books
Zoho Practice connects to Zoho Books, Expense, Payroll and Inventory, with workpapers and ledgers that update client books directly.[5] It also offers WhatsApp messaging on both plans. Zoho Finance partners can use it free; everyone else pays per organisation plus per user, and the self-service client portal is on Premium only.[5] For a 10-user firm that is not a partner, Standard comes to about ₹59,400 a year. Detail in MyPract vs Zoho Practice.
4. CCH iFirm: best for larger firms that want capacity planning
Wolters Kluwer says more than 400 CA firms in India and South Asia use CCH iFirm, and highlights capacity planning, timesheets and jobs linked to invoices.[7] It suits firms with offices in more than one country. Prices are by quote only. Detail in MyPract vs CCH iFirm.
5. TaxDome: best for firms serving US, UK or Australian clients
TaxDome is a global all-in-one: CRM, branded client portal and app, e-signatures, proposals, payments and integrations for US and UK tax work.[8] For an Indian firm doing Indian compliance it is a large step up in cost: Pro is US$900 per seat a year on a 3-year term or US$1,000 on a 1-year term.[8] Ten seats come to US$9,000 a year on the 3-year term. The same team is US$490 a year on MyPract's US-dollar plans.

6. CA Office Automation: best for native staff and client apps
CA Office Automation (CAOA) is a cloud product from Aequitas Infotech, Ahmedabad, hosted on Microsoft Azure, with Android and iOS apps for both staff and clients, and a range of AI agents.[9] Its pricing page shows US$22–30 per user a month billed yearly on the plan cards, but lower figures and one-time setup fees in its comparison table, while its FAQ says setup is included.[9] Get a written rupee quote before comparing. It is not part of Relyon's Saral range; see our Saral TaxOffice note.
7. Saral TaxOffice: best if you mainly need desktop tax filing
Saral TaxOffice from Relyon is Windows desktop software for bulk ITR and audit report filing and balance sheets, with an office suite for clients, tasks and billing.[10] It works offline but is not a cloud practice tool. Many firms keep a filing tool like Saral and run the office on separate practice software. Detail in Saral TaxOffice alternative.
How do the costs compare for a 10-person firm?
| Tool | Year-one cost, 10 users (excl. GST) |
|---|---|
| MyPract, billed in India | ₹36,000 (no setup fee) |
| MyPract, US-dollar plans (billed outside India) | US$490 (US$589 in year one with the setup fee) |
| Jamku | ₹13,000 + ₹3,000 setup[1] |
| ERPCA SaaS | ₹30,000[3] |
| Zoho Practice Standard | ₹59,400 (free for Zoho Finance partners)[5] |
| TaxDome Pro (3-year term) | US$9,000[8] |
| CCH iFirm, CA Office Automation | Quote; confirm with vendor |
At 10 users Jamku is the cheapest of these at published prices, and ERPCA also costs less than MyPract (from 7 users); MyPract's case at this size is billing from approved time, engagements and the AI assistant rather than price.
TaxDome's dollar price excludes bank forex charges and 18% GST on imported services; the like-for-like figure against it is MyPract's US-dollar plan, under 6% of TaxDome Pro for 10 users, not the rupee price. For a wider view of per-user prices, see the most affordable practice management software.
Who should not choose MyPract
MyPract is not the right Jamku replacement if you need any of these, because it does not offer them today:
- Income Tax or TRACES portal sync, or UDIN tracking.
- DSC expiry reminder emails (the DSC register shows expiry status but sends no emails).
- Native Android or iOS apps, attendance or leave tracking.
- WhatsApp, Tally or ledger integrations, or payment collection from clients.
- E-signature, proposals or engagement letters.
- Filing of GST, income tax or TDS returns.
Firms billed outside India pay in US dollars (Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year), plus a one-time US$99 setup fee for teams of up to 14, waived if paid during the trial; for US or UK tax-return integrations, e-signature and proposals, TaxDome covers more.
When should you stay with Jamku?
Stay with Jamku if:
- Automated tracking of notices, demands and returns across Income Tax, GST and TRACES, through Jamku Portal, is how your team works every day.[2]
- You rely on UDIN tracking, geo-attendance or Jamku's native apps.
- Your team knows the product and the main complaint is price: for teams of 6 or more, Jamku's published per-user price is lower than every cloud alternative on this list that publishes prices.
Some firms keep Jamku Portal for notices and move engagements and billing to another tool. Check whether that pair costs less than a single product before you switch. Our 30-point checklist helps you compare like for like, and the pillar guide to CA practice software covers the wider market. All head-to-head comparisons are on the compare page.

On 13 October 2026 we checked each vendor's own pages: Jamku's pricing page and Jamku Portal, ERPCA's pricing and home pages (the pricing page re-checked on 14 October 2026, after ERPCA changed its pricing), Zoho Practice pricing (India region) and Zoho's data-centre page, Wolters Kluwer's CCH iFirm India page, TaxDome's pricing page, CA Office Automation's pricing page and Saral TaxOffice's pricing page. Most figures were also re-verified that day for our head-to-head comparisons, which we link above. Prices exclude 18% GST. Against TaxDome we use MyPract's US-dollar plans, which apply to firms billed outside India, rather than its rupee price; dollar figures exclude bank forex charges and GST on imported services. Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Jamku?
It depends on why you are leaving. For billing from approved time and an AI assistant across the workspace, billed in rupees, MyPract. For attendance, payroll and Tally, ERPCA. For clients on Zoho Books, Zoho Practice. For capacity planning in a larger firm, CCH iFirm. For US, UK or Australian clients, TaxDome.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Jamku?
Not at published prices. Jamku's Startup plan costs ₹6,500 a year plus a ₹3,000 setup fee for up to 5 users, and its Growing tier ₹1,300 per user a year. MyPract costs a flat ₹12,000 a year for up to 5 users with no setup fee, more than Jamku even in year one. From 6 users Jamku is also cheaper than ERPCA's SaaS plan and Zoho Practice Standard. All prices exclude 18% GST.
Which Jamku alternative syncs with the Income Tax and TRACES portals?
None of the tools on this list matches Jamku Portal's Income Tax, GST and TRACES sync with UDIN tracking. If that sync is central to your work, stay with Jamku or keep Jamku Portal alongside another practice tool. MyPract reads GST portal data only, and has no Income Tax or TRACES sync.
Does any Jamku alternative have native mobile apps?
Yes. ERPCA and CA Office Automation both offer Android and iOS apps, and TaxDome has a client mobile app. MyPract is a responsive web app with no native app.
Can I move my client list from Jamku to another tool?
Usually, yes, by exporting to Excel or CSV and importing into the new tool. In MyPract you can import up to 2,000 clients per file, and every row is checked (GSTIN and PAN format, emails, phone numbers, duplicates) before anything is saved.
