Most Affordable Practice Management Software for Accounting Firms Worldwide (2026)
Short answer: For firms billed in India, Jamku is the cheapest published paid practice management software we found, at ₹1,300 per user a year (about US$13.64), followed by ERPCA at ₹3,000 per user a year with a 5-user minimum. MyPract comes third: at 10 users it averages ₹3,600 per user, more than ERPCA, and ₹4,200 at 20 users. For firms of up to 5 users, MyPract's flat ₹12,000 a year is the lowest paid price among the Indian tools we compared. Firms outside India pay MyPract in US dollars (Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year), and its Growing plan is the lowest of the US-dollar prices in our table. ERPCA's international plan is next, at US$83.88 per user a year. Some tools are free if you qualify through a ledger partner programme: Intuit Accountant Suite Core, Xero Practice Manager (Silver partners), MYOB Practice and Zoho Practice.
Last updated 22 October 2026. MyPract is our product. We list every price as published, show a US-dollar equivalent at ECB rates, and say where a cheaper tool is the wrong choice. Method is in the How we checked section below.
"Affordable" depends on where you are billed, how many users you have and what the price leaves out. This page ranks tools by published price per user per year, flags the free options and their conditions, then lists the costs that a headline price hides. For a full rupee price list of Indian tools, see our practice management software pricing guide for India.
Which practice management software is cheapest per user?
Prices are per user per year on the cheapest plan that fits a team (annual billing, excluding tax). For tools priced per firm, we divide the price for 10 users by 10.
| Rank | Tool | Published price | Per user per year (original) | ≈ US$ per user |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jamku (India pricing) | ₹1,300/user/yr (Growing)[1] | ₹1,300 | US$13.64 |
| 2 | ERPCA SaaS, India | ₹250/user/month, billed annually, minimum 5 users[2] | ₹3,000 | US$31.49 |
| 3 | MyPract | India: ₹12,000/year for the first 5 users, then ₹4,800 per user for users 6–30 and ₹4,000 per user for users 31+; outside India: Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year | India: ₹3,600 (10 users); outside India: US$49 (Growing) | US$49 (its US-dollar plan, not a conversion) |
| 4 | Zoho Practice Standard, India | ₹2,950/org/month for 5 users + ₹400/user/month[3] | ₹5,940 (10 users) | US$62.34 |
| 5 | ERPCA SaaS International, US$ | US$6.99/user/month, billed annually, minimum 5 users[2] | US$83.88 | US$83.88 |
| 6 | Xero Practice Manager (non-Silver) | A$149/month for up to 10 users[4] | A$178.80 (10 users) | US$125 |
| 7 | Uku Solo / Financial Cents Solo | US$19/month, one user[6][7] | US$228 | US$228 |
| 8 | Onvio Firm Management Essentials | CA$2,450/yr incl. 1 user + CA$140/user[8] | CA$371 (10 users) | US$260 |
| 9 | Mango Practice Management | US$35/user/month, according to Software Advice[10] | US$420 | US$420 |
| 10 | IRIS Elements Practice Management | £28/user/month[9] | £336 | US$444 |
| 11 | Uku Team | US$38/member/month, annual[6] | US$456 | US$456 |
| 12 | Jetpack Workflow Starter | US$480/seat/yr[11] | US$480 | US$480 |
| 13 | Financial Cents Team | US$49/user/month, annual[7] | US$588 | US$588 |
| 14 | Karbon Team | US$59/user/month, annual[12] | US$708 | US$708 |
| 15 | Canopy Standard | US$74/user/month, annual[13] | US$888 | US$888 |
| 16 | TaxDome Pro | US$900/seat/yr on a 3-year term (US$1,000 on 1 year)[14] | US$900 | US$900 |
The rupee prices (MyPract's India price, Jamku, ERPCA's India plan and Zoho Practice) apply to firms billed in India, and their US-dollar column is a conversion; MyPract's US-dollar figure is its own plan for firms outside India, not a conversion of its rupee price. Mango's figure comes from Software Advice because Mango no longer publishes plan prices. IRIS says there is 20% off on annual sign-up, which we have not applied.[15] At 20 users MyPract's Indian average rises to ₹4,200 per user, so it stays third (ERPCA's rupee price is lower from 7 users). Outside India the Growing rate is flat, so MyPract is US$49 per user at 20 users too. Quote-only tools (CCH Axcess Practice, CCH iFirm, IRIS Practice Engine, MYOB practice management) are left out because there is no list price to compare.

The order depends on team size. Jamku is cheaper than MyPract at every team size; ERPCA costs more than MyPract up to 6 users and less from 7. ERPCA replaced its Run, Grow and Scale packages with per-user pricing in October 2026; existing customers keep their rate.
- Jamku: ₹1,300 per user a year, ₹6,500 for up to 5 users. Its page says implementation consulting is mandatory from 15 users and charged over and above the licence, from ₹15,000.[1]
- ERPCA: ₹3,000 per user a year (₹250 a month, billed annually), with a 5-user minimum of ₹15,000, and with attendance, payroll and a Tally integration included.[2]
- MyPract: ₹12,000/year for the first 5 users, then ₹4,800 per user for users 6–30 and ₹4,000 per user for users 31+. That is ₹36,000 a year for 10 users and ₹84,000 for 20, before GST, with no setup fee. It is a global, AI-native platform, not an India-only tool: every user gets every module, including engagements with task dependencies, time with approvals and period locks, invoices from approved time in each client's currency, documents, a free client portal and an AI assistant that answers from every module and acts only after you confirm, plus a DSC register and read-only GST portal data for Indian work. The 3-month trial needs no card. Data domicile by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own instance in its country, so its database, files and server functions stay in-country. Today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase. See pricing.
- Zoho Practice: free for Zoho partners, otherwise ₹35,400 a year for 5 users on Standard.[3]
Compare each in detail: MyPract vs Jamku, MyPract vs ERPCA and MyPract vs Zoho Practice.
Imported tools priced in dollars cost far more: Karbon Team is US$708 per user a year and TaxDome Pro US$900, before forex charges and the GST an Indian firm pays under reverse charge. QuickBooks products have not been available in India since 1 July 2023, so Intuit's free tier doesn't apply.[16] For the wider Indian shortlist, see the best practice management software for CA firms and the best options for small CA firms.
What is the cheapest option if your firm is outside India?
Firms outside India don't get rupee prices from MyPract. They sign up on the US site and pay Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year, plus a one-time setup fee for teams of up to 14 users, waived if they pay during the trial. That setup fee is US$99. A team of up to 5 pays US$189 a year, and a 10-person team pays US$490, or US$589 in year one if the setup fee is not waived. That makes MyPract's Growing plan, at US$49 per user, the lowest of the US-dollar prices in our table. ERPCA's international SaaS plan is next, at US$6.99 per user a month billed annually (US$83.88 a year), with a 5-user minimum.[2] The tools built for US, UK and Australian firms start at about US$125 per user a year (Xero Practice Manager at 10 users) and run to US$900 (TaxDome Pro).
But for most US, UK, Australian and New Zealand firms, a free or cheaper-in-practice option exists:
| Free option | Condition | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Intuit Accountant Suite Core | Free in Intuit's supported countries for firms whose clients use QuickBooks Online; replaces QuickBooks Online Accountant from 31 December 2026; Accelerate is a paid tier | [17][18] |
| QuickBooks Practice Manager (UK) | Free for firms with five or more QuickBooks Online licences | [19] |
| Xero Practice Manager | Free at Silver Xero partner status and above, earned mainly through client Xero subscriptions | [4] |
| MYOB Practice | Free through the MYOB Partner Program | [5] |
| Zoho Practice | Free for authorised, advanced and premium Zoho partners | [3] |
If your clients already use QuickBooks Online, Xero or MYOB, one of these will almost always beat any paid tool on cost, and it connects to your clients' books, which MyPract does not.
What does a cheap price leave out?
| Hidden cost | Examples (as published) |
|---|---|
| Setup and onboarding | MyPract: none in India. Outside India, a one-time US$99 fee for teams of 14 or fewer, waived if you pay during the trial. Jamku ₹3,000 for up to 14 users, then consulting from ₹15,000 (US$300 outside India) from 15 users.[1] Jetpack's optional onboarding package is US$1,500.[11] Software Advice says Canopy charges an implementation fee.[20] |
| Contract length | TaxDome's lowest price needs a 3-year term, paid upfront.[14] Financial Cents has a 12-month agreement on all plans.[7] |
| Monthly billing premium | Karbon Team is US$79 a month on monthly billing against US$59 annual.[12] Uku Team is US$49 monthly against US$38 annual.[6] |
| Add-ons | Canopy Tax Resolution, US$50 per user a month.[13] Jamku attendance and file storage are charged separately.[1] |
| Plan limits | Uku Solo covers one member and 20 active clients.[6] Zoho Practice's client portal is on Premium only.[3] |
| Forex and tax | Indian firms paying in dollars face bank forex markups and 18% GST under reverse charge on imported services, on top of the converted price. |
| Partner conditions | "Free" ledger-linked tools depend on clients' subscriptions to that ledger. |
To compare properly, work out year-one and three-year cost for your actual team. For a 10-person firm, year one at list price on MyPract is ₹36,000 in India, with no setup fee. Outside India it is US$490, or US$589 in year one if the setup fee is not waived. For the same firm, Jamku costs ₹16,000, ERPCA ₹30,000 and Zoho Practice Standard ₹59,400 in India; Karbon Team is US$7,080 and TaxDome Pro US$9,000 a year on a 3-year term. So in India, MyPract costs more than Jamku and ERPCA at this size and less than Zoho Practice. In dollars, a 10-person firm pays MyPract less than a tenth of what Karbon Team or TaxDome Pro charges, though both do things it does not.
Who should not choose MyPract
MyPract is not the right buy for everyone, whatever the price:
- US, UK, Australian and NZ firms that need IRS, HMRC or ATO workflows, or integration with QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB or local tax software. MyPract has none.
- Firms that qualify for a free ledger-linked tool (Intuit, Xero, MYOB, Zoho). Free and connected to client books beats cheap and disconnected.
- Firms that need e-signature, proposals, payment collection or automatic client reminders. MyPract offers none of these.
- Firms outside India that need in-country data today. Data domicile by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own instance in its country, so its database, files and server functions stay in-country. Today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase, and the in-country instance comes with a paid subscription.
- Indian firms choosing mainly on price. Jamku is cheaper at every team size and ERPCA from 7 users. MyPract is worth the difference if you want time approvals and period locks, invoices built from approved time, engagements with task dependencies, an AI assistant across every module and a 3-month trial with no card.
- Indian firms that need UDIN tracking, Income Tax/TRACES sync, attendance or a Tally integration. Jamku and ERPCA cover these, and cost less than MyPract (Jamku at every team size, ERPCA from 7 users).

How we checked
On 13 October 2026 we checked each vendor's own pricing page (listed under Sources), and re-checked ERPCA's on 14 October 2026 after it changed its pricing. For tools we have compared before, we reused the prices in those comparisons, which were re-checked against vendor pages the same day. Where a vendor doesn't publish prices we attribute the figure to the third party that does, or leave the tool out. Per-user figures for per-firm pricing assume 10 users. Prices are shown in each vendor's own currency with a US-dollar equivalent: rupee prices convert at US$1 = ₹95.28, and pound, Australian-dollar and Canadian-dollar prices at £1 = US$1.32, A$1 = US$0.70 and CA$1 = US$0.70 (ECB reference and cross rates for 13 October 2026). Non-Indian prices are not converted into rupees: MyPract's US-dollar plans are set against non-Indian products, and its rupee price against Indian ones. Figures exclude GST, VAT and sales tax, bank forex charges and 18% GST on imported services. Jamku says its pricing depends on the country; we used its published India prices.[1]
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest practice management software for accountants?
Free options come first if you qualify: Intuit Accountant Suite Core (for firms whose clients use QuickBooks Online, outside India), Xero Practice Manager at Silver Xero partner status, and MYOB Practice or Zoho Practice for their partners. Among published paid plans for firms billed in India, Jamku is the lowest per user at ₹1,300 a year, followed by ERPCA at ₹3,000. MyPract charges Indian firms of up to 5 users a flat ₹12,000 a year, more than Jamku and less than ERPCA at that size. For firms outside India, MyPract's Growing plan at US$49 per user a year is the lowest US-dollar price we found, and its Startup plan is US$189 a year flat for up to 5 users.
Does a firm outside India pay MyPract's rupee prices?
No. Rupee prices apply only to firms billed in India. Firms elsewhere sign up on the US site and pay in US dollars: Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year. A one-time US$99 setup fee applies to teams of up to 14 users, waived if paid during the trial.
Is there free practice management software for accounting firms?
Yes, with conditions. Intuit Accountant Suite Core is free in Intuit's supported countries (not India) and replaces QuickBooks Online Accountant from 31 December 2026. Xero Practice Manager is free for Silver-and-above Xero partners. MYOB Practice is free through the MYOB Partner Program, and Zoho Practice is free for authorised, advanced and premium Zoho partners. Each depends on your clients using that vendor's ledger.
What costs do cheap practice management tools leave out?
Setup and onboarding fees, mandatory consulting for larger teams, multi-year commitments, monthly-billing premiums, paid add-ons, per-client or payment fees, and for Indian firms buying in US dollars, bank forex markups and 18% GST under reverse charge on imported services.
Is the cheapest practice management software the best value?
Not always. A US, UK or Australian firm that needs IRS, HMRC or ATO workflows, QuickBooks or Xero integration, e-signature or payment collection will usually get more value from a local tool, even at ten times the price, than from a cheaper tool that lacks them.
