MyPract vs Jamku: Which CA Practice Management Software Is Right for Your Firm in 2026?
By the MyPract team · Updated 2026-10-05
Short answer: MyPract and Jamku cost almost the same per user, but MyPract is slightly cheaper at list price, includes implementation consulting from 15 users (Jamku charges for it separately) and offers a 3-month card-free trial. Jamku is the better pick if you need Income Tax, GST and TRACES portal sync, UDIN/DSC tracking, native mobile apps or geo-attendance, which MyPract does not offer today.
Last updated 5 October 2026. Competitor prices checked against madrecha.com/jamku/pricing; all prices exclude 18% GST. MyPract is our product, so we link every competitor claim to its source and list where each competitor is stronger.
Jamku is one of the best-known names in Indian CA practice software.[4] Madrecha Solutions says more than 1,700 CA, CPA, CS and advocate firms use it.[9] Users regularly praise its compliance dashboard and its support team.[4][10] So if you're searching for a "Jamku alternative", it probably isn't because Jamku is a bad product. More likely you want a more modern interface, cleaner time-to-billing, or more predictable onboarding costs as your team grows.
MyPract is an AI-native practice management platform for chartered accountants, auditors and tax practices.[11] It's built in Jaipur by LinkIT Software & Services Pvt Ltd and hosted in India. This comparison is deliberately fair. We show where MyPract is stronger, where Jamku is stronger, and which kind of firm should choose each.

The headline per-user prices are close, and MyPract's are slightly lower. The real gap shows up in add-ons and in onboarding for larger teams.
Year-one cost by team size (excl. GST)
| Team size | MyPract | Jamku (licence + setup/consulting) |
|---|---|---|
| 5 users | ₹6,000 + ₹3,000 setup = ₹9,000 (₹6,000 if you upgrade during trial) | ₹6,500 + ₹3,000 = ₹9,500 |
| 10 users | ₹12,000 + ₹3,000 = ₹15,000 | ₹13,000 + ₹3,000 = ₹16,000 |
| 20 users | ₹24,000 (consulting included) | ₹26,000 + mandatory consulting (from ₹15,000) = from ₹41,000 |
| 40 users | ₹60,000 (consulting included) | ₹60,000 + mandatory consulting (from ₹15,000) |
Jamku figures are from its published India pricing page. Jamku offers a 15% discount if you pay within 3 working days of a demo, or for joint purchases by 3+ offices.[12] Confirm current consulting terms with the vendor.
Add-ons to budget for with Jamku
Jamku's pricing page lists these as charged separately:
- Geo-location attendance: ₹1,000 (up to 10 users), ₹4,000 (11–30) or ₹10,000 (30+).[12]
- File upload storage: ₹500 activation, then ₹100/GB per year.[12]
- Jamku Chat: ₹500–₹7,500.[12]
Jamku Portal is a separate product. It syncs Income Tax, GST and TRACES data and tracks UDIN and DSC expiry,[13] with its own module pricing and captcha "sync credits" at 30 paise each.[9][14] Jamku Portal's own pricing page lists each module (IT, GST or TDS Portal) at ₹7,000/yr on the CA plan or ₹20,000/yr on the Enterprise plan, plus a one-time ₹3,000 setup fee.
Where MyPract is stronger
Time tracking that flows into invoices
MyPract treats time as billing data, not just a log:
- Capture: Staff log time by timer or timesheet.
- Approval and control: Managers approve entries. Time locks stop back-dated edits after a period closes. Rate rules apply the right billing rates.
- Invoicing: You raise invoices directly from approved time, with line items, tax and auto-numbering (INV-YYYY-NNNN).
On Capterra, a Jamku reviewer wrote that "billing and task linking with billed invoices are receptive to manipulation and inaccuracies".[15][16] That's exactly the gap an approval-and-lock workflow is designed to close.
A modern, uncluttered interface
Jamku's own reviewers are mixed on its interface.[15] One GetApp reviewer wrote: "UI – the interface is a bit confusing and cluttery".[17] A Capterra reviewer described a "glut of features & options" that "leads to chaotic implementation & usage".[15] Plenty of other users call Jamku easy to use, so this is a matter of taste.[10] MyPract was designed recently, around engagements, with kanban, calendar and "My Work" views, plus dark and light themes.
Predictable onboarding as you grow
For firms with 15+ users, Jamku requires implementation consulting priced separately.[12] MyPract includes implementation consulting from 15 users. For a 20-person firm, that is the difference between about ₹24,000 and ₹41,000+ in year one.
A genuinely risk-free trial
MyPract's trial lasts three months, needs no credit card and never converts to a paid plan automatically. That's long enough to run a full GST quarter and an ITR cycle through it. Jamku's refund policy excludes offices that created a trial account before paying.[12]
India hosting and permissions
MyPract data is hosted in Mumbai (ap-south-1), and its privacy policy is drafted for the DPDP Act 2023. Six roles (Owner, Admin, Manager, Staff, Viewer and Client) with row-level security per workspace let you limit article assistants to their own engagements.
Where Jamku is stronger (and we'll say so)
- Compliance tracking for Indian filings: Jamku Portal fetches notices, demands and returns from the Income Tax, GST and TRACES portals.[9] It also tracks UDIN and DSC expiry.[13] MyPract has no portal sync, DSC or UDIN tracking today.
- Native apps: Jamku has Android/iOS apps and desktop apps.[12][18] MyPract is a responsive web app.
- Attendance: Jamku offers geo-location attendance as an add-on.[12][19] MyPract doesn't track attendance.
- Track record: Jamku has years of production use and a large installed base.[4][6]
Who should choose which?
Choose MyPract if:
- You bill on time and want approved time to turn straight into invoices.
- You run audits and advisory work as multi-step engagements with dependencies.
- You're a 15–30-person firm that wants consulting included rather than charged separately.
- You want to evaluate properly over three months without handing over card details.
Choose Jamku if:
- Automated notice and demand tracking across Income Tax, GST and TRACES, plus UDIN/DSC tracking, is central to how you work.
- Your team needs native mobile apps or geo-attendance.
Using both: Some firms run engagements and billing in MyPract and keep a dedicated portal-sync tool for notices. Check whether that combination beats a single tool for your workload.
