Best TaxDome Alternatives for Indian CA Firms
Short answer: For an Indian CA firm doing Indian compliance work, the best TaxDome alternative is one that bills in rupees and fits Indian compliance work. MyPract, a global, AI-native platform that bills Indian firms in rupees, is the best fit for firms that want engagements, billing from approved time and an AI assistant, at ₹36,000 a year for 10 users billed in India. Against TaxDome's dollar price, the like-for-like figure is MyPract's US-dollar plan, US$490 a year for 10 users. Ten seats of TaxDome Pro on a 3-year term cost US$9,000. Jamku costs less than MyPract at every team size, and ERPCA from 7 users. Jamku is better for Income Tax, GST and TRACES sync, ERPCA for attendance, payroll and Tally, and Zoho Practice for firms whose clients use Zoho Books. Stay with TaxDome if you serve US, UK or Australian clients and need e-signatures, proposals and payments in one place.
Last updated 22 October 2026. Prices exclude 18% GST. Against TaxDome, Karbon and Uku we set MyPract's US-dollar plans, not its rupee price. MyPract is our product, so every competitor claim links to its source and we say where each competitor is stronger. See "How we checked" below.
TaxDome is one of the most popular all-in-one practice platforms in the world. It says it is trusted by 15,000+ firms, and it bundles CRM, a branded client portal and app, e-signatures, proposals, payments and AI reporting.[1] It is built mainly for US, UK, Canadian and Australian firms, with integrations for IRS transcripts, US tax software and Companies House.[2] For an Indian firm, the question is how much of that you would use, and what it costs once dollars become rupees.

Start your free trialWhy do Indian firms look for alternatives to TaxDome?
TaxDome is a strong product, and firms that use its client portal, e-signatures and payments every day get real value from it. Indian firms tend to look elsewhere for practical reasons:
- Dollar pricing. Essentials, for one user only, is US$700 a year on a 3-year term. Teams need Pro, at US$900, US$950 or US$1,000 per seat a year on 3-, 2- or 1-year terms, billed upfront.[1] An Indian firm pays that in dollars at whatever rate its bank applies on the day, plus the bank's charges.
- Multi-year commitment. The lowest rate needs a 3-year term paid upfront.[1]
- Forex and tax on top. Paying a foreign vendor by card or wire usually adds a bank forex markup, and Indian businesses generally owe 18% GST on imported services under reverse charge. Neither is in the dollar price.
- Built for other tax systems. Its integrations target IRS transcripts, US tax software, QuickBooks Online and Companies House.[2] Indian work such as GST notices, DSC custody and statutory audit engagements is not its focus.
- Data location. Firms that want client data held in India under the DPDP Act 2023 need to confirm TaxDome's hosting region with the vendor.
What does a TaxDome team actually cost?
| Team | MyPract, US-dollar plans (annual) | TaxDome Pro, 3-year term | TaxDome Pro, 1-year term |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 users | US$189 | US$4,500 | US$5,000 |
| 10 users | US$490 | US$9,000 | US$10,000 |
| 20 users | US$980 | US$18,000 | US$20,000 |
TaxDome figures are per year from its published Pro price.[1] MyPract's column is its US-dollar plans, so both sides are in the same currency; a one-time setup fee applies to teams of 14 or fewer, waived if you pay during the trial, so year one for 10 users is US$589. A firm billed in India pays MyPract's rupee price instead, ₹36,000 for 10 users, with no setup fee. Add 18% GST to both; for TaxDome also add your bank's forex markup. See MyPract pricing.
1. MyPract: best for approved-time billing with an AI assistant
MyPract is a global, AI-native practice management platform for accounting, audit, tax and advisory teams, built for cross-border teams and clients; Indian firms are billed in rupees, and its privacy policy is written for the DPDP Act 2023. Work runs as engagements with tasks, subtasks, dependencies and checklists. Staff log time; managers approve it and lock past periods; invoices come from approved, billable time, and each client can be invoiced in its own currency, which helps firms with overseas clients. An AI assistant answers from every module and creates or updates records only after you confirm, bound by the same six roles as people; Claude and ChatGPT can be connected as agents through MCP.
- Price: one plan with every module, ₹12,000/year for the first 5 users, then ₹4,800 per user for users 6–30 and ₹4,000 per user for users 31+. A 12-person firm pays ₹12,000 + 7 × ₹4,800 = ₹45,600/year + GST. Annual billing, no multi-year term, no automatic renewal. Jamku publishes a lower rupee price at every team size, and ERPCA from 7 users.
- India-specific: a DSC register and read-only GST portal data (filing status, notices to tasks, ledgers, GSTR-2B reconciliation). Nothing is filed from MyPract.
- Client portal: one link per engagement, opened with an emailed 6-digit code; portal clients are not charged.
- Data domicile by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own instance in its country, so its database, files and server functions stay in-country. Today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase.
- Trial: 3 months, opt-in, no card, never converts automatically.
Full list on our features page. Where TaxDome is still better: e-signature, proposals, payment collection, a client mobile app and US or UK tax integrations. MyPract has none of these.
2. Zoho Practice: best for firms whose clients use Zoho Books
Zoho Practice is billed in rupees and Zoho lists India data centres in Mumbai and Chennai.[3][4] It connects to Zoho Books, with workpapers and ledgers, and is free for Zoho Finance partners. For other firms, Standard is about ₹59,400 a year for 10 users, and the self-service client portal is a Premium feature.[3]

3. Jamku: best for Income Tax, GST and TRACES sync
Jamku publishes rupee prices, with Android, iOS and desktop apps.[5] Jamku's licence costs less than MyPract at every team size, even with its setup fee. Its separate Jamku Portal product syncs notices, demands and returns from the Income Tax, GST and TRACES portals and tracks UDIN and DSC expiry. For larger teams, consulting is charged separately.[5]

4. ERPCA: best for attendance, payroll and Tally
ERPCA bundles selfie and GPS attendance, leave and payroll, a Tally integration, GST e-invoicing, Razorpay and PayPal collection and a DSC register with expiry alerts, plus native apps.[6] It is the closest rupee-priced option if TaxDome's payment collection is what you would miss. Its SaaS plan costs ₹250 per user a month, billed annually with a minimum of 5 users, so ₹30,000 a year for 10 users; it replaced the Run, Grow and Scale packages in October 2026, and existing customers keep their rate.[6]
ERPCA costs less than MyPract from 7 users. Detail in MyPract vs ERPCA.
5. CCH iFirm: best for capacity planning in larger firms
Wolters Kluwer says more than 400 CA firms in India and South Asia use CCH iFirm, and highlights capacity planning and jobs linked to invoices.[7] It suits multi-office firms comfortable with quote-based pricing. Confirm the hosting region and billing currency in your quote. Detail in MyPract vs CCH iFirm.
6. Karbon: best for teams built around shared email
If you want to stay with a global tool, Karbon is the closest in spirit: email triage, a client portal, billing and payments on every plan.[8] It is cheaper than TaxDome per user on an annual plan but still priced in US dollars, and automatic client reminders and the API need Business at US$89 per user a month.[8]
Detail in MyPract vs Karbon.
7. Uku: best for growing firms that want billing automation
Uku targets firms of 10–50 people, with automated billing, BI analytics on Elite and a 14-day trial with no card.[9] Team costs US$38 per member a month on annual billing, and data is hosted in the EU.[9]

Who should not choose MyPract
MyPract is the wrong TaxDome replacement if you need any of these, because it does not offer them today:
- E-signature, proposals, engagement letters or payment collection and payment links.
- A native client or staff mobile app (MyPract is a responsive web app).
- US, UK or Australian tax integrations, QuickBooks, Xero or Tally integrations.
- Automated client reminders, recurring invoices, or automatic creation of the next recurring task.
- SSO or Google sign-in, a public API or Zapier.
- Income Tax or TRACES sync, UDIN tracking, or filing of any return.
- The lowest rupee licence price: Jamku publishes a lower price at every team size, and ERPCA from 7 users.
MyPract is also not the best choice for US, UK or Australian firms that need local tax integrations. Firms billed outside India pay in US dollars: Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year, plus a US$99 setup fee for teams of up to 14, waived if paid during the trial.
When should you stay with TaxDome?
Stay with TaxDome if:
- Most of your clients are in the US, UK, Canada or Australia and you use its IRS, US tax software or Companies House integrations.[2]
- Your clients sign, pay and upload through TaxDome's portal and app, and moving them would cost more goodwill than you save.
- You have already paid upfront for a multi-year term.
- You want one vendor for proposals, e-signatures, payments and workflow.
Firms that split work between Indian and overseas clients sometimes keep TaxDome for the overseas side; MyPract invoices each client in its own currency from one workspace. Score the options with our 30-point checklist, read the pillar guide to CA practice software, and see India-hosted options. All head-to-head comparisons are on the compare page.

These figures were also re-verified that day for our head-to-head comparisons, linked above. Prices exclude 18% GST. Against TaxDome, Karbon and Uku we use MyPract's US-dollar plans, which apply to firms billed outside India, rather than its rupee price; dollar figures exclude bank forex charges and GST on imported services.
