Best Zoho Practice Alternatives (2026)
Short answer: The best Zoho Practice alternative depends on why you are moving. MyPract, a global, AI-native platform, is the best fit for Indian CA firms whose clients use a mix of accounting software and who want a client portal included and billing from approved time, at about 40% less than Zoho Practice Standard for 10 users. Jamku is better for Income Tax, GST and TRACES portal sync, ERPCA for attendance, payroll and Tally, CCH iFirm for capacity planning in larger firms, and Xero Practice Manager for Xero partners. Stay with Zoho Practice if you are a Zoho Finance partner or most of your clients use Zoho Books.

Zoho Practice is the practice-management layer of Zoho Finance. It connects to Zoho Books, Expense, Payroll and Inventory, offers workpapers and ledgers, WhatsApp messaging and workflow rules, and is free for Zoho Finance partners.[1][2] For a firm built around Zoho, it is hard to beat. This list is for firms where that ecosystem is not the centre of the practice, ranked by what each tool does best.

Zoho Practice is a capable product from a respected Indian company. Firms usually look elsewhere for reasons of fit rather than quality:
- Clients are not on Zoho Books. Zoho's pricing table marks Standard-plan client management as "(Zoho Clients Only)", and the deepest features assume clients' books live in Zoho.[1] Firms whose clients use Tally, Busy or spreadsheets get less from it.
- Per-organisation pricing. Standard is ₹2,950 per organisation per month for up to five users, plus ₹400 per user per month after that, billed annually.[1] That is about ₹59,400 a year for 10 users.
- Premium-only features. The self-service client portal sits on Premium, at ₹8,950 per organisation per month.[1]
- Short trial. Zoho offers 14 days, which is too short to run a full GST or TDS cycle.[1]
For Zoho Finance partners, most of these points do not apply, because Zoho Practice is free.
1. MyPract: best for Indian firms with clients on mixed ledgers
MyPract is a global, AI-native practice management platform for accounting, audit, tax and advisory teams, from a solo practitioner to firms of more than 30 people, built for cross-border teams and clients. It bills Indian firms in rupees and does not depend on any accounting software. Work runs as engagements with tasks, subtasks and dependencies; staff log time by timer or timesheet; managers approve time and lock past periods; invoices are raised from approved, billable time in each client's currency. An AI assistant answers from every module, because there is one data model, and acts only after you confirm; Claude and ChatGPT can be connected as agents through MCP, bound by the same roles as people.
- Price: ₹12,000/year for the first 5 users, then ₹4,800 per user for users 6–30 and ₹4,000 per user for users 31+, with no setup fee. There is one plan, and every user gets every module. See pricing.
- Client portal included: one link per engagement, opened with an emailed 6-digit code; portal clients are not charged.
- India-specific extras: a DSC register and read-only GST portal data (filing status, notices to tasks, ledgers, GSTR-1 vs 3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation).
- Data domicile by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own instance in its country, so its database, files and server functions stay in-country. Today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase, so an Indian firm's data is in India.
- Trial: 3 months, opt-in, no card, never converts automatically.
Where Zoho Practice is still better: Zoho Books integration, workpapers, ledgers, WhatsApp messaging and custom workflow rules. MyPract has none of these.
2. Jamku: best for Income Tax, GST and TRACES sync
Jamku from Madrecha Solutions publishes rupee prices, lower than MyPract's for teams of 6 or more, and has Android, iOS and desktop apps.[4] Its separate Jamku Portal product fetches notices, demands and returns from the Income Tax, GST and TRACES portals and tracks UDIN and DSC expiry.[5] Consulting is charged separately for larger teams. Detail in MyPract vs Jamku, or see our list of Jamku alternatives.
3. ERPCA: best for attendance, payroll and Tally
ERPCA bundles selfie and GPS attendance, leave and payroll, a Tally integration, GST e-invoicing, payment collection through Razorpay or PayPal, WhatsApp, and a DSC register with expiry alerts and consent forms.[6] It has native Android and iOS apps. Its SaaS plan is ₹250 per user a month, billed annually with a minimum of 5 users, so ₹30,000 a year for 10 users; it replaced the Run, Grow and Scale packages in October 2026, and existing customers keep their rate.[6]

4. CCH iFirm: best for capacity planning in larger firms
Wolters Kluwer says more than 400 CA firms in India and South Asia use CCH iFirm, and highlights capacity planning, timesheets and jobs linked to invoices.[7] It suits firms with offices in more than one country. Prices are by quote only. Detail in MyPract vs CCH iFirm.
5. Xero Practice Manager: best for Xero partners
The Xero equivalent of Zoho Practice. It is free at Silver partner status and above; new and Bronze partners pay A$149 a month before GST for up to 10 users, about US$1,250 a year at ECB cross rates.[8] It covers jobs, staff scheduling, time, invoicing and WIP, and now sits inside Xero Partner Hub. It only makes sense if your clients are on Xero. Detail in MyPract vs Xero Practice Manager.
6. TaxDome: best for firms serving US, UK or Australian clients
TaxDome is a global all-in-one with a branded portal and client app, e-signatures, proposals, payments and integrations for US and UK tax work.[9] Pro costs US$900 per seat a year on a 3-year term, before forex charges and GST.[9] Ten seats come to US$9,000 a year. The same team is US$490 a year on MyPract's US-dollar plans.
Detail in MyPract vs TaxDome.
7. Karbon: best for teams that work from shared email
Karbon is built around a shared email inbox with triage on every plan, a client portal, and billing and payments.[10] Team costs US$59 per user a month billed annually; automatic client reminders and the API need Business at US$89.[10] Ten users on Team cost US$7,080 a year. The same team is US$490 a year on MyPract's US-dollar plans.

How do the costs compare for a 10-person firm?
| Tool | Annual cost, 10 users (excl. GST) |
|---|---|
| MyPract, billed in India | ₹36,000 (no setup fee) |
| MyPract, US-dollar plans (billed outside India) | US$490 (US$589 in year one with the setup fee) |
| Jamku | ₹13,000 (+ ₹3,000 setup)[4] |
| ERPCA SaaS | ₹30,000[6] |
| Zoho Practice Standard | ₹59,400 (free for Zoho Finance partners)[1] |
| Zoho Practice Premium | ₹1,31,400[1] |
| Xero Practice Manager | A$1,788 ≈ US$1,252 (free at Silver and above)[8] |
| Karbon Team | US$7,080[10] |
| TaxDome Pro (3-year term) | US$9,000[9] |
| CCH iFirm | Quote |
At 10 users Jamku and ERPCA both cost less than MyPract at published prices (ERPCA from 7 users); MyPract is about 40% below Zoho Practice Standard. Against the overseas tools the like-for-like figure is MyPract's US-dollar plan: under 7% of Karbon Team, under 6% of TaxDome Pro, and under half of Xero Practice Manager's non-partner price even with the setup fee.
Zoho Premium assumes the same ₹400 per-user add-on as Standard; confirm with Zoho. Xero's Australian-dollar price is converted at A$1 = US$0.70 (ECB, 13 October 2026). Dollar prices exclude bank forex charges and 18% GST on imported services. MyPract's US-dollar plans apply to firms billed outside India; the one-time setup fee applies to teams of 14 or fewer and is waived if you pay during the trial. For a wider per-user comparison, see the most affordable practice management software.
Who should not choose MyPract
MyPract is the wrong Zoho Practice replacement if you need any of these, because it does not offer them today:
- A Zoho Books, Tally or other ledger integration, or audit workpapers.
- WhatsApp messaging, or automated client reminders and recurring invoices.
- Single sign-on or Google sign-in, a public API or Zapier.
- E-signature, proposals, engagement letters or payment collection.
- Income Tax or TRACES portal sync, UDIN tracking, or filing of any return.
- Native mobile apps (MyPract is a responsive web app).
Firms billed outside India pay in US dollars (Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year), plus a one-time US$99 setup fee for teams of up to 14, waived if paid during the trial; for US or UK tax-return integrations, e-signature and proposals, TaxDome covers more.
When should you stay with Zoho Practice?
Stay with Zoho Practice if:
- You are an Authorised, Advanced or Premium Zoho Finance partner, so it costs you nothing.[1]
- Most of your clients keep their books in Zoho Books and you want workpaper adjustments to flow into those books.[3]
- You use WhatsApp campaigns, custom modules or workflow rules every day.
- Your firm already runs Zoho Mail, Cliq or Sign and values one login across them.

On 13 October 2026 we checked each vendor's own pages: Zoho Practice pricing (India region), its workpaper page and Zoho's data-centre page; Jamku's pricing page and Jamku Portal; ERPCA's pricing page (re-checked on 14 October 2026, after ERPCA changed its pricing); Wolters Kluwer's CCH iFirm India page; Xero Australia's Practice Manager page; and the TaxDome and Karbon pricing pages. These figures were also re-verified that day for our head-to-head comparisons, linked above. Prices exclude 18% GST. Xero's Australian-dollar price is converted to US dollars at the ECB cross rate for 13 October 2026 (A$1 = US$0.70). Against TaxDome, Karbon and Xero we use MyPract's US-dollar plans, which apply to firms billed outside India, rather than its rupee price; dollar figures exclude bank forex charges. Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Zoho Practice?
For Indian firms whose clients use a mix of accounting software, MyPract or Jamku. For attendance, payroll and Tally, ERPCA. For capacity planning in a larger firm, CCH iFirm. For Xero partners, Xero Practice Manager. For firms serving US, UK or Australian clients, TaxDome or Karbon.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Zoho Practice?
For firms that are not Zoho Finance partners, yes. At published prices a 10-user firm pays about ₹59,400 a year on Zoho Practice Standard, against about ₹13,000 on Jamku and ₹30,000 on ERPCA's SaaS plan. MyPract costs ₹36,000 for the same team, more than ERPCA at that size. Jamku is the cheapest of these. All prices are before 18% GST. For Zoho partners, Zoho Practice can be free.
Which Zoho Practice alternative includes a client portal?
MyPract includes a client portal at no extra cost, with portal clients not charged. ERPCA, Jamku, TaxDome and Karbon also offer client portals. On Zoho Practice the self-service client portal is a Premium feature.
Does any alternative integrate with Zoho Books like Zoho Practice does?
Not as closely. Zoho Practice's workpapers update client books in Zoho Books directly. MyPract has no Zoho Books integration and works independently of your clients' accounting software.
Where is the data stored?
Zoho lists India data centres in Mumbai and Chennai. MyPract's data domicile is by country: a paying firm outside India gets its own in-country instance, and today, with customers in India, everything runs in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase, so an Indian firm's data is in India. ERPCA says it uses Indian data centres. For global tools such as TaxDome and Karbon, confirm the hosting region with the vendor.
